πŸŽ‰ New Article!! @healthyfoodmag πŸŽ„ How to stay healthy over Christmas... LINK IN BIO . I’ve included some of my favourite winter warmer recipes and tips for keeping healthy during the festive season! . This isn’t about dieting or avoiding boxes of celebrations (🀀) it’s about staying nourished and full of energy rather than getting to January feeling like a sloth πŸ˜‚ . What are your thoughts on eating over Christmas?! πŸ€” . #shecooks
Trip to the markets of Asni 😍 . So many colours, smells and sights - Foodie heaven. . This morning we hopped in the taxi with our host and drove down through the various villages in the mountains to reach the weekend markets, where people travel to pick up supplies for the week. . There’s so much gorgeous local produce on sale - huge pomegranates, tiny bananas, butchers stalls (and those who didn’t want a butcher carrying a huge carcass on their backs!), mountains of spices, men stitching clothes - it’s so fascinating to simply watch everyone go about their business. . Picked out a lovely handmade clay tagine pot for Β£1.18 🀭 which we will treat ready for cooking back at the riad πŸ™πŸ» . Sat back with a mint tea and chatted to Abdul, who spent half an hour talking to us about his business selling goats in the morning. He told us about the walnuts and chillies that grow in the gardens in his village, how the animals are sold at market early in the morning and the fish arrives fresh from the coast. He told me about making omelettes in tagines and barbecued sardines, and the huge tomatoes that arrive from the south of the country. Such a treat to indulge in the simple lost art of talking to strangers. . Our legendary host/chef has looked after us all day and we’re now bundled onto a bus with more people squashed on board than the Bakerloo line at 8:30am... πŸ˜‚πŸ‘ŒπŸ» . What an amazing place πŸ’– . #shecooks
Learning tagine skills πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ . Check out my story to see how to make a simple and traditional morrocan lamb tagine πŸ™πŸ»β˜ΊοΈ . Food here is insane πŸ™ƒ . The stray mangey cats in the village that follow you around are also insane... πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ . (I love cats but jeez these ones are scary!) . #Shecooks
Feeling pretty tiny over here... πŸ™ˆ . What an amazing place. Short but sweet caption, but it’s so refreshing to disconnect, slow right down and just BE. . Lovely long day out in the mountains and now off to make lamb tagine with the riad chef, obviously... πŸ˜‚πŸ‘ŒπŸ» . #shecooks
Status: β€˜Out of kitchen’ 🏝✈️ . Can’t remember the last time I jetted off for something not work related πŸ™ˆ this time last year we were wrapping up filming in Paris for The Chefs Brigade and since then it’s been non-stop β€˜get your life in gear’ mode. πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ˜‚ . I’m so proud of what I’ve achieved since then (and I never ever say that, but im trying to get better a it! πŸ™ˆ) and definitely ready for a few well deserved days off in Morroco with @missemilyamber πŸ’– . Promise I won’t spam you too much πŸ™ƒ . Any recommendations from anyone that’s been to Marrakech? πŸ‘‡πŸ»πŸ‘‡πŸ» . #Shecooks
